THE CONCLUSION
So will it?

A penny is unlikely to kill a pedestrian for the following reasons:
- It will not necessarily land on its edge, providing the pressure necessary to penetrate the head of the pedestrian
- the pedestrian provides a very small target for the coin, reducing the chances it will hit the pedestrian
- a larger coin may increase the chances of injury but will result in a lower terminal velocity and less force on impact
